Photo Flash: In Rehearsal with San Diego Musical Theatre's CHICAGO

San Diego Musical Theatre presents the first production of its 2013 season, Kander and Ebb's CHICAGO, at the Birch North Park Theatre, beginning with a preview February 15, opening February 16, and running through March 3rd, 2013. BroadwayWorld has a look at the cast in rehearsal below!

Based in roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband Amos to take the rap ... until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess" Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the "American Dream": fame, fortune and acquittal. This sharp edged satire features a dazzling score that sparked immortal staging by Bob Fosse.

Directed by Ron Kellum, the production includes choreography by Randy Slovacek, music direction by Don LeMaster, lighting design by Matthew Novotny, costume design by Janet Pitcher, and stage manager Stanley D. Cohen.

The cast features Emma Radwick as Roxie Hart, Kyra Da Costa as Velma Kelly, Robert J. Townsend as Billie Flynn, and Alonzo Saunders as Mary Sunshine.

The cast also inclues: Ria Carey, Marisha Castle, Chris Cortez, Alexis Henderson, Jason James, Aurore Joly, Andrew Koslow, Ariel Lowell, Mike Motroni, Marco Puente, Joshua Ross, Chuck Saculla, Jennifer Simpson, Katie Whalley and Matthew Williams.
