San Diego Musical Theatre announces the third production of its 2012 season FOOTLOOSE, now playing through October 14, 2012, at the Birch North Park Theatre.  BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production below.

One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. This heartfelt story is of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. To the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score (the soundtrack album reached number one on the Billboard charts and has sold over 15 million copies!) and augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage musical, FOOTLOOSE celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind. FOOTLOOSE received four Broadway Tony nominations for Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Choreog-raphy and Best Performance by a Leading Actress.

Robert Marra is the Director/Choreographer and Don LeMaster is the Music Director.  

Single tickets for SDMT’s production of FOOTLOOSE are $26.00, $32.00, $42.00 and $52.00. Children 12 and under are half price. There are discounts for Seniors, Military and Students.
