Known for their polished and refined sound and performances rooted in outstanding musicianship, their focus is the Classical era, but they aren't afraid to perform something completely new. Founded by Sir Neville Mariner, whose vision and inspiration have kept the Academy sound alive, the Academy is now led artistically by the Music Director, and the membership of the orchestra, who create an annual program of inspirational and inventive performances.

Zany good cheer abounds even as these Mississippi sisters grapple with a whirlwind of unfortunate events.

King, who lived every day in the face of death, was assassinated on April 4, 1968 while standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. This imaginative and soul stirring drama premiered in London in 2009 to great acclaim, winning the Olivier Award for Best New Play. REP audiences will be the first to experience this astonishing play in the intimacy of the Lyceum Space, where all seats are within 25 feet of the stage!
