Allegiance is coming to the stage in Japan in 2021!

Palo Alto Players, the Peninsula's first theatre company, has announced its reimagined 90th Anniversary season - a lineup of shows designed to withstand these uncertain times.

The Outer Critics Circle (OCC), the official organization of writers on New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers and national publications, today announced its plans for honoring the 2019-2020 season of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.

BroadwayWorld has learned original Broadway director Stafford Arima will direct a production of ALLEGIANCE, the musical which starred Lea Salonga and George Takei on Broadway when the production comes to Tokyo next year. Sing Out, Louise! Productions will hold a developmental reading of Indigo, an original new musical featuring music & lyrics by MAC Award winning composer Scott Evan Davis and a book by Jay Kuo (Allegiance), Lorenzo Thione (Allegiance), and Davis. Indigo will be directed by Schele Williams (Motown, the upcoming revival of Disney's Aida) with musical direction and arrangements by Brad Haak (Mary Poppins, An American in Paris).

Manoa Valley Theatre is celebrating its momentous 50th Anniversary with a play season filled with star-studded audience favorites, Broadway blockbusters and compelling dramas that herald the next half-century for the noted Off-Broadway playhouse. During its anniversary season, MVT will present a spectrum of multi- disciplinary experiences including musical comedies, historical dramas and audience participation events. New collaborations and partnerships are just two of the many features of the season.
